Collaboration Member Marianne Lemoine wins CNRS silver medal

Long-term H.E.S.S. Collaboration member Marianne Lemoine from the University of Bordeaux has been awarded a silver medal by the National Centre for Scientific Research (CNRS) in France. The laudatory text praises Marianne’s research in gamma-ray astronomy with the H.E.S.S. telescopes and the Fermi-LAT gamma-ray satellite. Marianne is particularly well known for her studies of supernova remnants, which are one of the major sources of cosmic rays in our Galaxy. Congratulations, Marianne!
