Wassim Si Said has been awarded the H.E.S.S. Prize at the first Collaboration Meeting in 2026 for his outstanding contributions to the experiment. Wassim currently pursues a PhD thesis at the Laboratoire Leprince-Ringuet, École Polytechnique, Paris. He plays a major role in incorporating the “FlashCam” camera, installed on the large CT5 telescope (see The H.E.S.S. Telescopes), into one of the two main analysis chains used within the Collaboration. First results that could be achieved thanks to these efforts were presented at the same meeting. Furthermore, Wassim has made numerous contributions to H.E.S.S.’ scientific outreach. In fact, he has been the main person behind the redesign of the H.E.S.S. website that was launched in November last year.
