Last week, the 1st semester 2026 H.E.S.S. Collaboration Meeting took place 21–24 April in Zeuthen, near Berlin, Germany. With more than 70 registered in-person participants, the meeting was very well attended. Kindly hosted by the group at DESY Zeuthen, H.E.S.S. members from 20 different institutes gathered to exchange and discuss the latest results. The meeting featured presentations, discussion sessions, work shops, and – sometimes equally important – coffee and lunch breaks for informal exchange.
As is tradition, the meeting concluded with the announcement of the new H.E.S.S. Prize awardee. This time it is Wassim Si Said from the Laboratoire Leprince-Ringuet, École Polytechnique, Paris. Congratulations!
